These tests are qualitative evaluations of proven performance standards in simulated hunting conditions.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We welcome any\/all NAVHDA members to join us in the tests that we host as handlers, volunteers or spectators.&nbsp; This registration number can be found on your dog\u2019s pedigree, or can be searched in the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.navhda.org\/search-the-registry-database\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NAVHDA Registry Database<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All owners and handlers must be current <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.navhda.org\/join-navhda\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">members of NAVHDA International<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dogs are eligible for Natural Ability testing up to and including the day they reach 16 months and 0 days of age.&nbsp; Dogs over 16 months of age may be run for evaluation only, if space is available.&nbsp; No prize classification can be awarded to a dog run for evaluation.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is no age restriction for the Utility or Gun Dog Test.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Test Entry Procedure:<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-layout-1 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Option 1 (PREFERRED): Submit Test Entry online via NAVHDA Member Portal<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Once testing dates are published to NAVHDA International (2026 tests have been confirmed by NAVHDA International as of 1\/7\/26), test entry requests can be submitted via NAVHDA Member Portal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tests are marked as &#8220;accepting Waitlist Entries&#8221; through the month of January to allow for Kettle Moraine NAVHDA Chapter Members early access to test entry spots.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.navhda.org\/portal-faq\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.navhda.org\/portal-faq\/\">HERE<\/a> for a guide on submitting a test entry through the NAVHDA International Member Portal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Option 2: Submit Form to Test Director<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Download a current <a href=\"https:\/\/www.navhda.org\/forms-express\/?toggle=testing_youth_acc+.et_pb_accordion_item_2\">TEST ENTRY FORM<\/a> from the NAVHDA website.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Save the form to your computer.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Completely fill out the form with dog, owner, and handler information.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Email the electronic completed form to the Director of Testing at <\/span><a href=\"mailto:kmnavhdatestsecretary@gmail.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">kmnavhdatestsecretary@gmail.com<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If a test spot is available, you will receive a return email with a payment link for the appropriate test entry fee.&nbsp; You will have 72 hours to pay the entry fee in order to secure a position in the test.&nbsp; Electronic payment (credit card, PayPal or Venmo accepted) is preferred.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Upon confirmation of your eligibility and payment, a confirmation email with test details will be sent to you.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Test date is typically assigned 2-3 weeks prior to test date.&nbsp; We strive to test as many dogs as possible during our testing season, but do attempt to accommodate test date preferences.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Notification of cancellation of test entries should be communicated <\/span><b><i>as soon as possible<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to the Director of Testing by <\/span><a href=\"mailto:kmnavhdatestsecretary@gmail.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">email<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, phone or text (Brianne Miller, 608-774-9903).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Test Entry Cancelation and Refund Policy:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em><strong>Test entry fees will be ONLY be refunded when following the below criteria.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Test entry fees will be issued a full refund if canceled more than 30 days before the test weekend OR at any time if there is a medical exemption for the handler\/dog. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">100% of the test entry fee will be refunded if a request is submitted, in writing by email, to the <a href=\"kmnavhdatestsecretary@gmail.com\">Test Director<\/a>&nbsp;accompanied by a verifying letter from a physician or veterinarian stating that the dog or handler should not participate in a test for medical reasons.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em><mark style=\"background-color:#f9e500\" class=\"has-inline-color\">No refunds will be issued if a test entry is cancelled within 30 days of the test weekend.<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">General Test Day Events Schedule<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>6:00AM \u2013 All handlers arrive at testing grounds (this is a good time to exercise your dog before testing)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6:45AM \u2013 Instructions from the Judging Team<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>7:00AM \u2013 Testing begins promptly<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lunch Break<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3:00PM \u2013 4:00PM \u2013 Testing concludes (approximate)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lunch<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On test days, the Chapter will be providing the main dish served for lunch for all judges, apprentices, volunteers, handlers and spectators.&nbsp; We do ask that owners\/handlers<strong>&nbsp;plan to bring a dish to pass&nbsp;<\/strong>on the day you are running your dog.&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>A lunch email will be sent separately assigning items closer to test day.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dogs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We expect that you will provide safe and comfortable housing for your dog throughout the day.&nbsp;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Dogs are to be leashed or kenneled when not testing to prevent dangerous situations or interference with the test.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please do not approach other dogs without the owner\u2019s permission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We test rain or shine, so watch the weather forecast for your test day!\n<ul>\n<li>Test days can be hot with minimal\/moving shade in the parking area, especially by the Leased Test Grounds on Arrow Lane and at Dundee.&nbsp; Plan to bring water and a bowl for your dog (there is no running water near the testing area) and consider battery operated fans and\/or pop-up tents to provide additional shade\/cooling if temperatures will be high on test day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Outdoor seating is limited, so please bring your own folding chair if you would like a place to sit during testing.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A port-a-potty will be available on-site for test day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We cannot accommodate camping or trailers at our Chapter testing grounds for handlers\/owners or spectators.&nbsp;
